Introduction
The 2nd International Conference on the Survivors of Rape was held in the heart of the Netherlands at the University Medical Center of Utrecht. Utrecht were pleased and honoured to host this Conference, that built on the success of the 1st Conference in 2008 in Aarhus, Denmark.
The Multidisciplinary Approach
The objective of the 2010 Conference was to further enhance the understanding of the impact of rape for children, adolescents and adults and to improve the quality of multidisciplinary care for survivors of rape.
Commenting on the conference, co-organiser Drs. Iva Bicanic said,
"Looking back we have enjoyed exciting and innovative presentations from excellent speakers. Our key-note speaker professor Rebecca Campbell inspired every person in the audience. The audience were curious and respectful to one another. Despite the serious themes, there was enough space relaxation as well."
"The feedback we received from participants was in general very positive; this was received as a compliment for the organizing committee."
"It was a great experience to organise the Conference in Utrecht. We very much look forward to the 3rd International Conference on the Survivors of Rape in Galway to meet international friends as well as colleagues from all disciplines working in the areas of rape."

Feedback
"Exciting lectures on oxytocine, EMDR, cortisol, medical issues, sexual repercussion, a Danish model and presentation by Mia Lind and Ask Elklit"
"Loved all areas presented, but would like to see a presentation on psychosocial services/psychological treatment after rap."
"Liked the idea of multidisciplinary work; sometimes (for a policeman) difficult to understand the medical terms/too much information on one slide."
"Iva Bicanic excellent conference hostess/moderator, very engaged and involve."
